2-Day Weekend Activity Package
(to include two full days of activities together with accommodation)
An action packed weekend allows you to experience a range of adventure activities safely. We provide all the specialist equipment – all you need is enthusiasm.
We offer Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Caving, Open Canoeing or Kayaking, Gorge Scrambling, Adventure Day, Orienteering, Hill Walking, Raft Building, Navigation, Adventure Treasure Hunt or the Blue Mountain Team Challenge.
Adventure Activities take place at a variety of locations in the Brecon Beacons National Park and surrounding area in the Brecon, Hay On Wye, Crickhowell, Neath and Symmonds Yat areas.
2 Day Weekend Activity Package to include activities & accommodation
Friday
Arrive during the evening
NB. No meal is included during the first evening which allows you to arrive at your leisure. The Severn Stars Pub is open for food until 9pm
Saturday
Following a good breakfast head off for a full day of rock climbing and
abseiling.
After a short drive your instructor will introduce you to the climbing equipment that you will be using – helmet, harness, belay device etc.
Rock climbing is great fun and you will be surprised at how much you will have achieved, climbing a range of rock climbs to suit all abilities, and also completing an abseil up to 90 feet high – a big personal challenge and a great sense of achievement.
A packed lunch is included.
Return to Cwmfillo (B&B) for tea & tyffin at 5pm. Hot showers, evening meal and tall stories beside the log fire …… or in the relaxing garden on a summer evening with Red Kites soaring overhead.
Sunday
An action packed Adventure Day to include; rock scrambling, ‘weaselling’, rock climbing, exploring caves and the finale – a gorge scramble, to include jumping across rocks, climbing waterfalls and jumping into deep plunge pools.
A packed lunch is included.
Depart at 5pm with your purchased and prized Blue Mountain Activities ‘T’ shirt

3-Day Adventure Activity Package
This option is similar to the Weekend Adventure Activity Break but with the bonus of an extra day’s activity. The third day allows the opportunity to experience a water based activity and to try kayaking or open canoeing and to complete a river trip/journey of six miles on the picturesque River Wye below the stunning Black Mountains.
Acquire the skills needed to paddle a Kayak (single person) or Open Canadian Canoe (2 x person or tandem) in a straight line before setting off on your river trip!
Activities end Monday 5pm

Get to the top and abseil back down and achieve more than you thought was possible.
Tuesday
Kayaking / or Open Canoeing
Acquire the paddling skills needed to complete a six mile river trip/journey.
Wednesday
Gorge Walking & Raft Building
Gorge walking includes exploring through tunnels, a forest, jumping across boulders, rocks, climbing waterfalls and sliding & jumping into plunge pools – great fun and packed full of adventure.
Come up with an innovative design to construct an improvised raft to complete a journey on a reservoir.
Thursday
Orienteering and Cave Exploration
Using a map to navigate to locate orienteering controls hidden around a forest.
Explore a fabulous and exciting world underground – discover spectacular passageways and discover stalactites, stalagmites, straws, flowstone, impressive underground waterfalls and sumps.
Friday – Adventure Day
To include; rock scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling and gorge scrambling – Boulder hopping, jumping across rocks and boulders, rock scrambling across the river, climbing waterfalls, jumping into plunge pools – tremendous fun!
